Some of the best Bohem litters were bred in the 1990s. The first litter out of Ch. Bohem Of Thee I Sing ("Betsy") was sired by Ch. Delacreme de la Renta and included Ch. Bohem People's Choice and her sister Ch. Bohem Critic's Choice, who was exported to Frank & Lee Pieterse in Australia, where she has won All-Breed and Specialty Best in Shows and produced several champions, most notably the multiple BIS winner Ch. Statuesque Extortion, a top sire world-wide. Betsy's second litter, by Ch. Starline's Reign On, JC was one of the best ever bred by Bohem. All the seven puppies shown became champions in the U.S. or Europe (the eighth is of equal quality but lives in a pet home), including Ch. Bohem Age of Innocence, a Top 20 Whippet in both 1998 and 1999, with multiple Group wins and BIS at the AWC Western regional specialty in 1999. Her sister Ch. Bohem All About Eve remains at Bohem and although rarely shown was a Top 20 Whippet in 1999 and 2000 with multiple Group placements, SBIS and two Select Awards of Merit at the AWC National Specialty, in 2000 and 2003. In Europe, their brother Ch. Bohem American Gigolo and sister Int. Ch. Bohem Adam's Rib have produced many champions; the latter for Jackie Bourdin's famous 'Manoir de la Grenouillère' kenne in France. The third and final litter out of Betsy was born in late 1998 and sired by Ch. Watch Me Ari Independence. It consisted of only four puppies, of which Ch. Bohem Resounding Renaissance (finished at 16 months) has won Group 1st and multiple Group placements, Ch. Bohem Baroque finished with an AWC specialty major, and Dual Ch. Bohem Romanesque, SC, SR finished with two specialty weekend majors. The first litter out of All About Eve
("Annie") was born two weeks after Betsy's last in
1998 and sired by Ch. Chelsea Gold Rush of Keynote. Of the 10
puppies, 7 gained champion titles in the U.S. and/or abroad,
and especially the three males Ch. Bohem Circus Runaway
("Blaze," a white & dark brindle particolor), Ch. Bohem Circus Pony ("Whispa," red brindle & white)
and Ch. Bohem Three
Ring Circus ("Chili,"
grey brindle & white) have provided a lot of excitement.
Among much else, they may have set an all-time breed record in
that all three became Specialty Best in Show winners and between
them have qualified for the AWC Top 20 event five times! They
have between them sired a large number of champions. Click here for future plans and updates. |
